Waldringfield Village Hall

The much-admired hall was built in 2001, with a grant from the Lottery and much fund raising from village residents. It is cleverly designed to provide both independent and adjoining access to both main rooms (Deben Hall and Kennedy Room). Portable staging and an audio system is available for the main hall. A large modern kitchen is well equipped and serves both rooms. There is also a 'quiet room' with bed and sink - ideal for baby feeding/changing, as a dressing room for concerts, surgery, or just somewhere quiet for anyone feeling unwell. An adjoining office can double as an extra dressing room.

A number of regular activities take place in the Hall including Badminton, Bridge, Stretch and Tone classes, Ballroom dancing and groups for Art, Bridge, Wine, Craft, History and Wildlife. There is a regular coffee morning on the first Thursday of each month. The Parish Council holds its meetings here. The Mobile Post Office parks up in the car park from 11.00 am - 12.30 pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday each week. There is a visiting chiropodist. The neighbouring primary school makes use of the building and parents use the car park when dropping off and collecting children.>

The Hall is a great venue for meetings, parties, wedding receptions and other social get-togethers. WALGA annual Open Gardens event bases itself from the Village Hall, it also holds its Produce, Flower and Craft Show there. There are visiting theatre productions and of course the annual village Pantomime and Harvest Supper

Waldringfield Village Hall Trust is a registered charity (No. 304830) and relies on fund raising activity to support income generated from its bookings. The Village Lottery is a fun way contributing to the upkeep of the Hall. Tickets cost just £1 month – to participate please contact: villagehall.bookings@btinternet.com

Waldringfield Village Hall is run by a team of volunteers. Many roles are shared or designed specifically to meet both the needs of maintaining and marketing the Village Hall, and to make best use of the time and skills of village volunteers. The committee welcomes new members so if you think you have some time you could spare, however small, please do contact us by email: villagehall.bookings@btinternet.com and someone will have a chat to you about how you could get involved.

As we are a team of volunteers we share a mobile phone but signal here is not always good! Our preference is enquiry/ booking request through the online system or contact by email, but should this not be possible please telephone: 01473 736126 or 01473 736506
